Ballad of the Jetstream Part One
This week we target Red Sun Security directly finding their private island within the principalities and hope to gather more information that would allow us to take legal action against them. We borrow a bout from captain Ironsides and do intelligence gathering at their recruitment center. We arrive on their island posing as a buyer, using Baldwin’s Royal pedigree as a plausible cover story. They offer us a tour of the facilities, showing us their vast coffers and elite soldiers, but something else catches my attention most of all. Close to one thousand remote controlled warforged platforms, in violation of the Accords. So blatantly flaunting these violations made us wonder what else they could be hiding, but before we get a chance to sneak around the facility our tour is interrupted by the arrival of three VIPs. Sundowner and Jetstream of the winds of destruction, two of the four mercenaries we’ve been encountering in recent weeks, and perhaps the greatest revelation of the trip thus far, Merrix d’Cannith. Sam notices us but says nothing as the three of them chat and walk past us unaware.
We are hurried off the facility by our tour guide soon after that encounter and plot to sneak back into the facility afterwards. We split into two teams, infiltration team and party paladins. The infiltration team finds redacted reports about a PROJECT RAY, we dive deeper into the facility trying to find more details and Tilly breaks us into the secret chamber containing a massive warforged titan, I hack into the program via sheer chance and learn that this machine will be powered using the same source that caused the Mourning, calling vast amounts of energy from Zoriat. We are caught in the middle of this infiltration by Sundowner, but Sam bails us out and we make our escape.
