Cultists from the Scales organization infiltrated the Fey controlled Moonlight Garden, the source of the mushrooms that cure this affliction that has been turning people into demonic rage beasts. We enter through an underground cavern in the Talenta Plains and find three cultists, and we knock them out and heal up a forest guardian who was injured. We talk with him and he tells us they are using some kind of infernal metal music that protects them from the Fey guardians. We quickly run into the mushroom forest and must navigate through the shifting landscape of the feywild. Above us we see portals that bring more and more halfling cultists into the plane so we hurry to avoid getting overwhelmed.

Following the sound of the metal music we enter another clearing and find another fey guardian trapped in an iron maiden to be sacrificed. We distract the ringleader of this part of the concert, a fey who I have a personal vendetta against. He made me an indentured servant after selling me some cursed gems. I go invisible and slip his key to the iron maiden off his keyring while my team distracts him. The cat guardian creature escapes the maiden and almost burns my eyes out with its unspeakable form. It cuts down the cultists and offers to help us take out the final ritual site.

The cat creature leads us to another clearing where the metal music booms the loudest. A minotaur guitarist summons a corrupted hydra out of the portal and we sneak up on them and attack from the shadows, doing our best to keep the portal closed and keep the valuable mushroom stocks from burning. Through our combined effort we close the portal and take out the guitarist and preserve this mushroom grove which could prove to be very useful in counteracting this demon blood drug epidemic. Another curiosity appears in the portal once we stop the ritual, it opens into the Mournlands, I’m wary of where this could lead…
