This week we ventured into Droaam in order to investigate the fairness of the bloodsport arenas there. It would not be possible for us to fully stop that kind of violence in Droaam, so instead our job was simply to ensure that the fights aren’t rigged. Everybody needs a fair shot in and out of the arena.

Greywall was mostly occupied by monstrous races, so we decided to disguise our human members, myself included, as other races. I put on a pair of horns to appear like a tiefling. These disguises were easily accessible thanks to Rosie, the Goblin Bard, who led us to the home of her paramour. There, the excitable Olive gave us maps and disguises to make our way through the city.

We investigated multiple apothecaries in the city to see if the level of care received by the fighters was different based on how much money people had. The conclusion was a definitive yes, and we will most definitely be reporting that, but in the process of this investigation we also learned that the upcoming arena fight would reward tickets to the Great Crag. The Crag is the subject of an ongoing investigation for the Keepers, and getting a future team access to that area would be extremely helpful, so we signed up for the games ourselves.

In the arena, we faces down several other teams in a massive free for all as the arena gradually collapsed and forced us close together. We did a pretty good job of playing up our attacks and engaging the crowd, but unfortunately I do not know how the fight ended besides the fact that we won. I was quite quickly charmed by a harpy and forced to run myself off the stage. Though I hold no ill will to the competitor that did that to me, I do feel that my ongoing mental weakness since my jaunt through Xoriat was the reason I found myself unable to resist her voice.

Nevertheless, we found ourselves with tickets to the Great Crag, and will be passing those along to the next team to visit Droaam.
