Boss Makes a Dollar, I Make a Dime
We are called to Droam to investigate and find cause to shut down a mining operation controlled by the hags, posing as inspectors. Checking the place out, it seems above the typical safety standards we would expect in Droam. The boss seems disliked but not outright hated. Asking around, we hear that there are a series of strange bells restricted in access from most of the people on the complex. We talk to the friendly goblin who caretakes the chapel under the belltower. We sneak into the place later in the evening and inspect the bells and find they have two different modes and serve as some kind magical barrier that contains some great energy source underneath the complex. Hiding out the rest of the night in the tavern with the workers, I try to build up some resentment against the management with my musical performance. We wait out a scheduled ringing of the bells to find out exactly what they contain, and what we found shocks us. Kalasthar prisoners were contained within the barrier and were kept under protection to keep the place operational. We hide and see an appearance of Mordain the Fleshweaver who seems to be a powerful force within this organization. We are kicked out the next morning and take some of these abused Kalasthar home to Sharn.
