We got to Droaam. At the base of the mountain, the locals were avoiding us. UP the mountain there were more people and they avoided us much less. There are a lot of parades and events on the mountain top city. I spoke with a shifter at the even happening when we arrived. They suggested we go to the Silver Stone Street Tavern. This is a place for outsides and the shifter suggested that the next procession would have very large creatures that could easily crush me. At the tavern we met a goblin who was exchanging trinkets for stories. I got a stone in a brass holder that is a dousing stone, and some salt that makes a thin taste like pretzels. Lola got a fork that makes veggies taste great. I offered to buy it but she insisted on gambling for it and I won. So I can now eat more than just Princess donuts.

Exploring a mausoleum we found a tunnel into the mountain but it’s too small for any of us to get through. After the processions of the Hag Maenya and her warriors we were given the location of entrances into the mountain. We found a waiting room with 2 doors. Velcro turned into a bug and learned that one room was for looking at things and the other was a workroom. She opened the work room and we went in to explore. The room is encircled by the silver thread that makes magic more powerful. But the wizard who used the room showed up. We almost fought him but he turned out to be harmless and missing much of his memory. My unseen servant took the book he had but he allowed me to hold it and look in it. Note for Sul Katesh: there are notes in it on how to keep a lich heart intact to allow the lich to use it as a focus. Jinnis has the book at present but I’ve asked for it back when she’s done.

The wizard can’t recall his name so I named him Trapper. He works for Mordaine and the Hags. It appears Moraine has made him create things and then takes his memory. We found some of the silver thread embedded in Trappers skin behind his ears. He also has a tooth that can track him. Mordaine makes things for the Hags in exchange for crystals. Hopefully the next time we see Trapper he will remember why he’s promised to work for Mordaine as I used my scroll of suggestion. Maybe we can convince him to stop the work.
