The Awakening

As the citizens of Sharn fell to madness around us, a huge airship careened towards the city, on course to smash through buildings and kill countless civilians. We realized there was only one way to get on that ship and prevent disaster: a Sharn Kart race through the city! With the help of Rosie the goblin, we flew through the city on hoverboards, dodging angry citizens, ink spills, and water cannons to gather enough speed to launch ourselves into the air.

Landing on the ship was suspiciously quiet- no one, friend or foe, was there to greet us. Making our way to the engine room, I couldn’t help but notice the rotten, sagging floor thinly covered with fancy veneers- and the whispering, groaning sounds that seemed to be coming from beneath us. We *ahem* relieved the two captains of their command, and plugged Jinnis and Velcro into the ship to send it into the ocean. Hooray!

Then came the banging on all three of the doors surrounding us- turns out the groaning noises were Xoriat zombies hiding under the floorboards waiting to ambush us. With some quick thinking, Helios pulled off an incredible Draal Dhur impression, supported by special effects from Jinnis, Velcro, and I- and the crazy thing is, it worked! We sent the zombies off to another part of the ship and made our escape (after sabotaging the ship’s controls).

Then the real Draal Dhur showed up and started spouting a bunch of nonsense, and attacked us. I very HEROICALLY and INTENTIONALLY distracted Draal Dhur for two and a half rounds of combat by letting him chew on my face until the sheer power of my mind frightened him away. He did NOT get bored of eating a half-dead bard and leave to go attack a druid. That is a dirty lie.

(Thank you Velcro for healing me.)

ANYWAY, we managed to keep enough of our druids alive to complete the ritual and banish Draal Dhur! Hooray for the power of friendship and incredible violence!
