Black Sails in the Sunset
Keepers : Jinnis, Gregorius, Bella, Toryn, Traceur, Sam
Captain : Abernathy Darwin Dunlap
Objective : Inspect principality fleets to confirm that they are properly reporting their numbers.
Outcome : We have confiscated unreported goods such as a box of healing potions, barrels of invasive plants, exotic fruit, and a crate full of smut. 120 copies of The Lusty Argonian Maid, to be exact. Among the goods, the most important would be the crate of medical documents from Cyre before it became the Mournlands. The records show that about a year before the Mourning, the rates of stillbirths and deformities rose drastically.
Given the nature of the documents, we saw it paramount that we find the original owner of the documents and inquire where they found it. From then on, it got… a bit strange. This ship was supposed to belong to a Cap’t Bart, but after asking around, we found that it was not Bart’s ship at all, and Bart has not done his usual routines either. Looking for him, we enter a tavern he allegedly frequents, and couldn’t find him. We end up going into a secret gambling den hidden under the tavern and pay a hefty sum to see him, but he isn’t there either. Bella, Gregorius, and Toryn stay in the den to hopefully gather more info and earn back the money we had to spend to get in. Traceur, Sam, and I get back to the docs to find more info.
The ship we found the documents on was set ablaze, and a crew mate named Gary was still in there. We manage to extract him and get into the water before the ship explodes.
The mystery captain, currently disguised as Agatha, thanks the gambling group for saving a crewmate, and leaves. The group chases after them and finds them. They are thankful that we prevented the documents from burning and saving a crewmate. After questioning, they say that the docs came from a ship commissioned by Jerasco, and were originally found in the Mournland ruins of Cilar Brask
